Freestyle Event Services, Inc. is a full-service event production company providing services for corporate, school, social, and community events.  What began as a single operator mobile DJ company in 1999 has today evolved into Central California’s largest Event Production & Audio/Visual Rental company. What started with two used speakers and a cardboard box of CDs has grown to an inventory that spans several thousand square feet of warehouse space between two physical locations and multiple venue partners. We enjoy what we do and treat each event with the careful consideration and focused planning that it deserves; whether it be an intimate social gathering, multi-media conference, or large scale festival.

We believe that no two events are alike.  Our knack for versatility stems from the talented and experienced staff that form the Freestyle team.  Freestyle technicians are trained and certified in their respective fields, ensuring safety and professionalism as their highest priority.  Our sales and management team is present from consultation to implementation, working with you as a team to bring your vision to life and to produce a successful event.

In the fall of 2013 Freestyle Event Services acquired Audio Visual Plus, a Central Valley based Audio/Visual Rental and Event Production company. Founded in 1986 as U-Edit Video Center, a small ‘do it yourself’ video editing and production company, progressed into a full service television production and audio/visual rental company. By 1994 U-Edit Video Center became Pro Video Services with clients such as, Court TV, ESPN, Jim Burke Ford, and Mercy Hospital. One more name change, Audio Visual Plus, came in 1999, which name became synonymous with superb quality, excellent customer service, and flawless execution in the industry. Audio Visual Plus had secured several venue partners and had become Kern County’s Audio/Visual Headquarters.

Brian Dow

Meet Brian Dow. Brian is a project manager whose experience spans nearly 15 years. He is well respected in the industry for his aerial rigging and electrical knowledge. His talents led him to on-site logistical management in 2015 where he continues to thrive. With safety and equipment reliability as a priority, Brian takes a personal interest in each and every event he manages with great attention to detail.

Joseph Ortega

Meet Joseph Ortega. Joseph manages our entertainment/activities division for youth, both at high school and college level. Joseph is intensely passionate about audio, but it his 10 years of experience as a DJ that give him a uniquely qualified perspective when it comes to entertainment production. Joseph goes by the name of DJ ‘Fonzy’ and has done everything from high school proms to opening for celebrity acts.

Miguel Ortega

Meet Miguel Ortega. Miguel is our General Operations Manager. With over 12 years of experience in warehouse operations and logistics, Miguel began his journey with FES nearly a decade ago. He has become extremely well rounded in all areas of production and event production logistics. He spends countless hours ensuring that crews are scheduled, trucks are loaded and inventory systems are running!
